Garden School. Ironic to pay for this as we garden every day. But Circle Time with other toddlers is…important. Twenty years ago as a mom (my oldest is 24), I would have told her, perhaps shown her “what you do” with paper, glue, and beans. I laugh now. Who else but a 3 year old knows exactly what to do with these things.
By just showing up, creating a safe space and providing the tools – a patch of sand and old spoons, a box of seemingly random art supplies (always with glitter glue), a beach full of seaweed and rocks and tidepools…they come up with far more brilliant ideas than we tend to present. Three women that inspire me to parent and teach more than a quiet heart than a talking head.
