Taking 2 minutes to ground can turn our whole day around.
Littles are better at expressing when it’s been one too many errands. Sometimes called misbehaving, I would say they’re simply behaving. Just as they feel. Just as they are in that moment.
Take 2 minutes to leave the cart and head outside. Find a water fountain. A patch of grass. Bare dirt in the parking lot. Feel the Sun or the rain or the cool fog. No thought to what’s left on the list. A few breaths. Then start again. I do this with and without Emily. I want to enjoy it all. Not just get it done.
