Just when you think you’re too old for spots…or maybe you are watching your teen struggle with breakouts. Reaching for chemical over the counter products can make the cycle of over-drying the skin, then overproduction of oils to make up for it- and another breakout cycle. Try this natural blend instead. Once you make it, it’s just as easy to reach for this roll-on. And you will have so much fun making these- you’ll want to make one for everything!
1 10ml. glass roller ball like these
Jojoba oil, organic and cold pressed
10 lavender essential oil
5 clary sage
Add all of your essential oils to the bottle first. Fill the rest of the way with jojoba oil. Cap it. Label it. Use and benefit! Sometimes I grab a pretty label (cover with clear packing tape to prevent streaking), most often it’s masking tape and a Sharpie.
These are the oils that work well with my skin and I’ve seen beautiful results. If you don’t have one or two on hand, no worries. If one just doesn’t speak to you- wonderful to be in tune with your body and what works best for you! Consider subbing one of these instead: juniper berry, lemon grass, ylang ylang, basil, chamomile, petitegrain, or bergamot. Dab onto clean skin, before moisturizing.
The oils you choose will make the difference in the benefits you receive. For your carrier oil, jojoba oil, for this blend, look for organic and cold pressed. I have been using NOW brand and find it lovely. Jojoba oil is the closest oil to our skins natural sebum. Making it an ideal oil for acneic skin, eczema, and dry skin to oily skin. For essential oils, I choose the highest quality I can for me and my family. You can read more about why I choose doTERRA here.
