Fire Cider. Herbal medicine to support our vibrant wellness of 2017. Anti microbial, anti fungal, anti bacterial. Boosts digestion. Especially powerful for chronic sinus and bronchial infection and an unbalanced gut. After steeping, drink 1tsp to 1/4 cup daily or during winter months. Some add honey. I like the bite.

Add to a half gallon mason jar:
1c minced garlic
1c minced horseradish
1/3c minced garlic
1 large onion, chopped
5 sprigs rosemary, oregano, and/or thyme
Pour apple cider vinegar to fill, stir a bit to get all the bubbles out. If using a metal lid, use a bit of parchment to avoid corrosion.

Gently shake daily. After 3-6 weeks, strain. Store Fire Cider in the fridge for a year.

Take 1 tsp every morning or during the flu season.  When the bug does strike, take 1tsp up to every hour.

Use what you have. Add turmeric, cayenne, hot peppers, fresh anti bacterial from your garden…Halve the recipe and make in a quart jar. I have 3 half gallons just waiting to be enjoyed!
